SD&A 101: FUNDRAISING SOLUTIONS FOR COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES

The most trusted name in nonprofit fundraising is now serving institutions of higher learning with a full range of cost-effective telefundraising programs designed to increase their base of philanthropic support.

DISCOVER THE SD&A DIFFERENCE

Our fundraising programs for colleges and universities are based on a proven phonathon model that has been generating revenue for SD&A clients since 1983.

Known for our versatile, service-oriented approach and our ongoing commitment to technological innovation, we have enjoyed successful, longstanding partnerships with a wider variety of nonprofit organizations than any other competing firm in the industry.

At SD&A, we tailor each phonathon differently to meet the specific needs and parameters of each individual client, while always providing a friendly, personalized experience and the best return on investment.

PUT OUR BROAD BASE OF KNOWLEDGE TO WORK FOR YOUR SCHOOL

We understand that alumni represent the core support for colleges and universities – providing financial resources, acting as institutional advocates, and volunteering their time and expertise in service to institutional programs. This makes them the ideal platform from which to develop philanthropic support, and underscores the importance of cultivating the strongest possible alumni relations.

Even among students and recent graduates, where the earning and spending potentials are limited, developing and nurturing the habit of philanthropy is essential. SD&A phonathons are designed to promote this way of life.

Additionally, we offer fundraising strategies to effectively tap new donor sources other than alumni, as they often yield rich streams of new revenue. Key among them are:

  • the parents of current and recently graduated students
  • faculty and staff members
  • people who use institutional facilities, attend sporting and other special events, or attend institutionally sponsored art exhibitions or performing arts programs
  • the associates of trustees and major donors to the institution
  • persons known to support activities that are closely related to the academic programs of the college (e.g., donors to fine arts museums are excellent prospects for art schools)

CHOOSE FROM OUR THREE FUNDRAISING MODELS

On-Site Phonathons:

Conducted from a phone room on or close to campus, on-site phonathons provide the opportunity to employ student callers who have the advantage of full immersion in the school’s environment. The university provides the work space, the phone lines and the lead base; we handle everything else. For today’s busy development departments, on-site phonathons are an excellent alternative to the distracting problems associated with running in-house fundraisers.

ATC Phonathons:

Unable to host an on-site phonathon? SD&A’s Academic Telecenters — ATC WEST in Los Angeles and the brand new ATC EAST in Atlanta — offer a flexible alternative with many of the same features as traditional on-site phonathons. Supervised by experienced phonathon managers and staffed by callers who are expertly versed in the client’s programs and culture, these boutique phone rooms offer a personal touch not found at large, off-site call centers.

National Call Center:

Based in Los Angeles, our National Call Center is equipped to handle large volumes of outbound calls for nonprofit organizations across the spectrum, including colleges and universities. Our National Call Center offers the most advanced call management and dialing system in the industry, including state-of-the-art call recording and analysis.
